When you’re on the move, your headphones need to keep up! Wireless earbuds designed for workouts combine stability, durability, and great sound quality to enhance your exercise experience. Here’s what to prioritize.
Features to Consider in Workout Earbuds
- Water and Sweat Resistance: Earbuds with IPX4 or higher are sweatproof, so they won’t be damaged by moisture. Look for IPX7 for added protection, like in the Jabra Elite Active 75t.
- Secure Fit: Earbuds that stay put are essential for intense workouts. Many brands offer models with ear hooks or customizable tips.
- Battery Life and Fast Charging: Ideally, workout earbuds offer around 6-8 hours on a single charge, plus quick charging for last-minute sessions.
- Sound Quality: Deep bass and clear treble help you stay motivated, especially if you listen to upbeat workout playlists.

I used the Jabra Elite 4 Active for a couple of days but the difference is significant; one of the things that impressed me the most was the active noise cancellation (ANC), it’s so good that even the dangerous feeling of walking down the street is at that level.
I think the battery is pretty good and has a long life, after three days of use (about four hours per day) it has only lost 5% of the casing, at this rate I would charge them once every week and a half.
These headphones work with the JABRA SOUND+ app, which is basically a support where you can customize the equalization.
I like that they are a little bigger, I think thanks to that you have more functions on the headphones. They have a button on each side in the central part with various functions, I love deciding when I want the headphones to do something.
Without being an expert in this field, I think it works pretty well, and you have to consider that you have the option to improve it to personal tastes thanks to its application, so I think that if you have problems with taste, this could be solved. I have tried them a lot while exercising and the good thing about them is that they don’t fall out and fit snugly in the ear.
In conclusion, they are very good headphones, and for their price they are above some of the well-known brands.
